Build Projects

What's included in every project

Every project we take on is custom-coded from scratch — no templates, no page builders, no WordPress. You get clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files that you own outright. The scope of each project (number of pages, features, and functionality) is agreed upon before work begins and documented in your project quote.

Payment schedule

Projects are billed in two installments:

• 50% deposit due before work begins. This reserves your spot and covers the design and development phase.
• 50% balance due before the site goes live. Files are delivered upon receipt of final payment.

We accept payment via invoice. Payment terms are net 7 from invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You own everything

Once the project is paid in full, all files — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images — belong to you. You can host them anywhere, hand them to another developer, or take them entirely in-house. We don't lock you into proprietary systems or hold your site hostage.

Revisions

How revisions work

Revisions are built into the project process — not tacked on at the end. We review and refine at each stage so changes happen when they're easiest to make, not after everything is built.

Brochure Website — 3 revision rounds

Your project includes three structured revision rounds during the build:

• Round 1 — Design review. After initial designs are presented, you provide feedback on layout, colors, typography, and overall direction.
• Round 2 — Development review. Once the site is built, you review the live preview and submit any content or layout adjustments.
• Round 3 — Pre-launch review. A final pass before go-live to catch anything remaining.

One revision round = one consolidated round of feedback submitted at one time. Requests submitted after a round is closed may count toward the next round or be billed separately at $75 per request.

Custom Build — revisions at every stage

Custom projects include revision checkpoints built into each phase of the project. The number of rounds is scoped per project and outlined in your quote. We work iteratively so you're never surprised at the end.

Single-Page Site — 2 revision rounds

Single-page site projects include two revision rounds: one after the initial design and one after development. Additional revisions are available at $75 per request.

Landing Page — 2 revision rounds

Landing page projects include two revision rounds: one after the initial design and one after development. Additional revisions are available at $75 per request.

One-Off Changes

Making changes outside a plan

If your project is complete and you're on the Hosting Plan — or not on any recurring plan at all — you can still request content changes. These are billed at a flat rate of $75 per request.

What counts as one request?

One request = one task submitted at one time via a single message or email. Examples of one request:

• Update the phone number on the contact page
• Swap the hero image
• Add a new menu item to the navigation
• Change the hours of operation copy

One request means one submission — whatever changes you send in a single message count as one request, regardless of how many small tweaks are included. Swapping a photo, updating a line of text, and fixing a link in one email is one request.

Content updates cover edits to what's already on the page: text, images, links, prices, hours, and copy. Adding new sections, new pages, or anything that requires design or development work beyond editing existing content is out of scope and will be quoted separately.

If you find yourself submitting changes frequently, the Monthly Update Plan at $45/mo includes up to 4 requests per month and is likely the better fit.

Turnaround

One-off change requests are typically completed within 3–5 business days. Monthly Update Plan clients receive priority turnaround — most requests are completed within 1–2 business days.

Recurring Plans

Hosting, updates, and managed services

All recurring plans are optional. You're never required to stay with us for hosting or maintenance — the files are yours and you can host them anywhere.

Hosting Plan — $25/mo

Covers managed hosting on a fast global CDN, SSL certificate, uptime monitoring, custom domain setup, and contact form submission handling. Does not include content changes. Changes can be requested separately at $75 per request or by upgrading to the Monthly Update Plan.

Monthly Update Plan — $45/mo

Includes everything in the Hosting Plan plus up to 4 content update requests per month. Unused requests do not carry over — each month starts fresh with 4 requests. Additional requests beyond 4 are billed at $75 each.

Content updates include: text changes, image swaps, link updates, price or hours changes, and minor copy edits. Adding new sections to existing pages, creating new pages, or any work that requires design or development beyond editing what's already there is considered out of scope and will be quoted separately.

Fully Managed Plan — $95/mo

Includes everything in the Monthly Update Plan plus a monthly SEO and performance report, keyword tracking, and proactive recommendations. Reports are delivered within the first 5 business days of each month. The first report is delivered after a 30-day data collection period following site verification with Google Search Console — this is required to gather enough data to produce a meaningful report.

Billing & cancellation

Recurring plans are billed monthly. To cancel, send a written notice (email is fine) at least 30 days before your next billing date. Your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

Project timelines

Timelines are estimated at the start of each project and depend on prompt feedback from the client. Delays in providing content, feedback, or approvals may push the launch date. We'll always communicate timeline changes as soon as they're known.

Content & copy

Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for providing the written content (copy), photos, and logos for your site. We can assist with copywriting and sourcing imagery at an additional cost — just ask.
